so my amazing sister called me up at 7 yesterday evening and surprised me with guestlist to go see aerosmith at the o2 that night. for those who don't know me well, i am a huge aerosmith and almost went to download at the weekend purely to see them and then two days later i get to go see them, for free, half an hour from where i live. it was one of the greatest nights of my life. steve tyler is a god. no they're not a joke band, bow down.

scaredy cat

i love this photo taken by my housemate ed on my birthday. its of the beautiful cat i've named scaredy cat that is always hanging out in our garden but will never let any of us get close to it.

the whole world is sleeping, i just lie up in my bed

a new addition to my bedroom walls i picked up from my visit to the museum of london yesterday (its gift wrap but i think its perfect as a poster too).

today has been very stressful. after my daily search for houses i began scouring gumtree for jobs, only actually applying for two and one of those was as a volunteer at the florence nightingale museum. i figured if i want to work in a museum i needed to get the ball rolling somehow. i've been feeling really discontented at the moment with my life so i'm gonna force myself along to white heat this evening i hope it goes away.

turning twenteen

on the 21st of may i turned twenty, the sun shone and cocktails were drank, i got nicely sozzled and had a fantastic birthday.

phew

sweet disposition

so i've been having a lovely time since i handed in my brain on a platter in the form of nineteen thousand five hundred words to goldsmiths last week. the la shark single launch night at the amersham arms on saturday was a brilliant night. sunday was a lazy day in bed watching dvds. bank holiday monday i had the pleasure of probably the best roast dinner of my life so far courtesy of owen. tuesday i spent charity shop shopping around golders green and bargain hunting in camden with chelsea j. yesterday me and some girl friends went for a cup of tea and cake in this cute little cafe called the scooter café in lower marsh near waterloo. there were even these two adorable cats that lived there, in amsterdam loads of cafés had cats in them but this is the first one i've encountered in london.



then today i exercised my right to vote, hurray for democracy! note to self: i need to start taking more pictures. oh and i'm allowing myself a week off and now that's up i'm going to start looking for jobs to support myself in london over the summer.

so all my essays have been handed in and submitted. HELLO SUMMER. i don't know what to do with myself now. i might make a summer nights playlist or something gay like that, this will definitely be on it:

reading back 19,500 words is almost as painful as writing them was. i cannot wait for 1pm tomorrow, i am gonna get so drunk and that's only because this self inflicted fun ban i've been on is going to mean i get drunk off one pint.

picture perfect

spending so much time in my room writing essays this past month or so has got me wanting something new to look at. everyone (well the boys) who come in my room always comment on how much "shit" i've got, note: don't call it shit if you want to be allowed back in, and whilst i agree with them to an extent i could definitely do with some more stuff on my walls. i came across this website earlier and their prints are so cute, if i had my own house i could easily have so many of them.

life plan

i've decided when i grow up i want to have a pet fennec fox, a pygmy hedgehog, a micro pig, ducks in my back garden and i want to adopt an eskimo baby. hopefully i'm not still living in south east london then. well okay, maybe just in a nicer (and bigger) house. this may all sound like the ramblings of a crazy woman but trust me i've put a lot of thought into this.

browsing coachella photos, you know, as you do i have to say i'm a little disappointed in celebs festival outfits. i don't know what's going on: katy perry- way too slutty, daisy lowe- average, pixie geldof- ugly and don't get me started on agyness deyn, grow your hair back love. my favourite outfits have been from the knowles sisters (yes i am aware the blog title refers to a rihanna song but it was a jay-z collab and he's married to beyonce and he played coachella this year so WHUTEVER).

so far i'm not going to any festivals this year. somebody buy me a bestival ticket please.

sorry for the blogging hiatus and alas it still isn't over. despite the fact i have been glued to my laptop i haven't had time to peruse the internet looking for good things to post but instead making my way through the 19,500 words i have due in for the 29th of april (10 days to go and only 9740 to go, yikes). anyway i came across these photos of bill gentle (of backyard bill blog fame) and his now wife, fanny bostrom and i'm pretty sure they're the perfect couple ever with the most amazing house and life (and cats).
