peacocks can be so awful and then sometimes have some absolute gems, PLUS their shoes are wide fit which is so perfect for my feet which are as fat as they are long.

i don't know how much my followers in other countries, or indeed my u.k based readers for that matter, know about the march for the alternative that happened over the weekend but i was there (and i urge you to find out more). i didn't see or participate in any violence, the march i went on was great fun - there were lots of friendly people, ace speakers in hyde park and an overall great atmosphere. my friend sam (another friend of mine i know IRL) took photos/wrote some words about it for mint magazine and i highly recommend a look.

after seeing this photo on the guardian website how could i not post it? tony benn, what a legend.
